Upcoming Events
We are taking a break for the summer, but will begin rehearsals again in September.
We rehearse Wednesday evenings and play two large concerts as well as some events for the town of Ramsey. The season culminates with a fireworks performance for the town. July 3, 2025
Fireworks
We’re thrilled to announce we will again be performing a very special concert before and during the fireworks on July 3rd in Ramsey, New Jersey for their Independence Day celebration. Fireworks begin at dusk. The event is free and open to the public.
We hope to see you there to celebrate our nation’s 249th birthday!
May 25, 2025 Concert
Our May concert theme was “Drop a Pin.” We played a variety of music representing all different parts of the globe, from Brazil with “Tico-Tico” to Korea with “Variations on a Korean Folk Song.”
We even went down to Dante’s “Inferno” by Robert W. Smith!
December 17, 2023 Concert
Our winter performance featured our very own bassoonist, Ken Brown, playing the piece “Lucy Long” by A.F. Godfrey.
Additional repertoire included the “Portraits of the North” suite by Robert Buckley and “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” by Leon Jessel
May 19, 2024 Concert
The RWS spring concert featured a special guest, Benjamin Baron on the clarinet (Clarinet Concerto No. 1, Klezmer Clarinet).
Other pieces included Halcyon Hearts, Bandancing, Khan, and A Simple Song from Mass (in memory and honor of our friend David DeLucca).
Summer Performances
Looking for somewhere to play for the 4th of July?
We rehearse Wednesday evenings through June and culminate our season with a fireworks performance for the New York Boulders Baseball game on July 4th.
December 17, 2023 Concert
Our winter performance featured Jay O’Brien on the fantastic Vibraphone Concerto by Ney Rosauro.
One of our own, Aaron, played a duet with Jay that was out of this world!
We also played a variety of new and familiar holiday repertoire.

We had the pleasure of performing in the spring with the Bloomfield Youth Band and the Tenafly High School Band this year!
Tuba Holiday

We were proud to feature tuba soloist Andrew Hitz on our December 11th program. We featured our tubists Mike and Victor as well!
Boulders Game July 2022
Our New York Boulders Performance during the fireworks display is always one of the highlights of our summer season.
Senza Voce December 2019
Senza Voce is Latin for "Without Voice." We performed a number of pieces originally written with vocal parts.

We love performing for the fireworks at the Rockland Boulders 4th of July game! We play patriotic and popular tunes during the show.
Ramsey Fireworks

Probably our most important event of the year! It's great to play for such a large crowd in our home town of Ramsey, New Jersey.
